In addition, due to the environment in which these cameras are tested, EOTL is requesting adding a 4-year service package (on top of the 1-year included with camera purchase) to allow the Contractor to provide management, labor, tools, parts, materials, and equipment necessary to perform yearly inspections, maintenance and repairs of two (2) TMX7510 Phantom manufactured Ultra high-speed cameras to original manufacturer specification operational functionality. These services shall be performed at the Contractors facility.

1.0 Design Specification

The design specification of the camera is dictated by the test objective. In order to improve the ability to characterize and understand munition blast and fragmentation performance, EOTL collects optical data of the case surface of munitions. The use of ultra-high speed cameras, calibrated as a stereo-pair, allows for the collection of the 3D position of many points on the bomb surface over time. The cameras will be protected in a hardened box behind cement blocks. These cameras will be approximately 50 feet away from the detonation. Two disposable mirrors will be arranged such that the cameras will have an approximate 100 to 150mm focal length ensuring the field of view spans the entire length of the bomb (50” to 75”, depending on munition, 20” high). The relationship between pixel resolution and frame rate will be balanced such that the most data will be captured. In addition, camera synchronization or delay will need to be minimized to ensure frame delay does not interfere with data collection.

The following describes the necessary attributes of the camera to meet the test objective.

Throughput 75 Gpx/second Sensor Most pixels available as possible (1280 x 800 preferred), 12-bit depth, Monochrome Exposure 95 ns minimum exposure with FAST option, Extreme dynamic range Memory Larger than or equal to 256 GB internal RAM Additional Features

Continuous recording, frame timestamp, Internal mechanical shutter for automatic/remote Current Session Reference (CSR), Field-based firmware upgrade capable

Triggering Programmable trigger location (pre/post trigger recording), Image-Based Auto-Trigger standard, Trigger from software, Hardware trigger BNC

Timing and Synchronization

Frame synchronization to internal or external clock (FSYNC), IRIG in/out, Ready output (high when camera is armed and ready to record), Strobe output (low during frame exposure time)

Connectivity Gb Ethernet or 10Gb Ethernet Camera Control Native software or on-camera controls Video Out HD-SDI ports available Lensing Support Nikon F-mount standard, supports F & G style lenses and Canon EOS mount
