About this file

This document is Addendum No. 2 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) 07A5861 for the Compressor Replacement project in Los Angeles County, California. The Addendum revises the Scope of Work by specifying the manufacturer and model number of the new compressors, updates the contract term, and provides responses to 16 questions submitted by prospective bidders. The project requires the contractor to remove 3 existing compressors, furnish and install 3 new compressors, and replace 12 contactors. The contract is estimated to commence on September 1, 2024, or upon approval by Caltrans, and expire on August 31, 2025.

The estimated contract value is $250,000. The IFB states that refrigerant, if needed, will be purchased by the Caltrans Contract Manager, not the contractor. Contractors are required to provide a 1-year warranty on all workmanship. The IFB also provides information on the use of the freight elevator for compressor rigging and confirms that the building air cannot be down during the compressor replacements.
