About this file
This is Addendum No. 2 to a Request for Proposal issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget, State Facilities Administration Design and Construction Division for the Lake Orion Boating Access Site Improvements project. The addendum addresses clarifications regarding project scope and specifications for the site improvements. Key clarifications include confirmation that the attendant booth and restroom structures may be premanufactured, with the State having previously prepared plans for premanufactured restroom units available for proposers to use. The project will not include electrical or sink facilities in the new restrooms, which will replace existing pit toilets, and no utilities are planned for the attendant booth or vault toilet replacements. Pavement replacement at the right-of-way should be consistent with existing design documents from Addendum 01. The proposal due date is 8/27/26, with the addendum issued on 8/20/26 and approved by Project Director Jared Gavin-Helfrich.
Regarding survey and geotechnical requirements, proposers should assume responsibility for providing any additional geotechnical information and survey work needed for ADA compliance grade confirmation of the parking lot and vault toilet access, though an allowance may be included for this work. All existing design documentation has been provided to prospective bidders. State forces are available for survey assistance if needed but are not the preferred option. The addendum does not contain pricing information, set-asides, funding sources, or other financial terms in this document.
