The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and inspections. The contract includes a $2,500 cash allowance, and Alternate 1 requests an automated bypass system and associated controls.
Regarding pricing, the bid form includes a base bid and an alternate bid. Bidders must provide unit prices and lump sum amounts for the various work items. A 5% bid guarantee is required, and a performance and payment bond are required for bids over $50,000. The contractor must use Michigan products and recycled/environmentally friendly materials whenever possible.
