About this file
This document is Addendum #1 to Request for Proposals (RFP) #01092024-1400 for Design/Build Baseball and Softball Field Lighting issued by the King George County Procurement Department. The addendum provides answers to questions received prior to the mandatory pre-proposal meeting, as well as the attendee list for that meeting. Key details include that the project involves upgrading lighting at baseball and softball fields, the desired completion date is February 2024, and funding is available. The RFP requires proposers to provide warranty information, details on the service base, and whether a new control cabinet is needed. Proposals are due on January 9, 2024 by 2:00 pm, and this is an RFP process with an interview and negotiation stage rather than a low-bid project.
The document also clarifies that the existing field lights are in service and need to be upgraded to LED, and that the pole height is 85 feet with buried wiring. Proposers are responsible for ensuring compliance with building codes for the pole design. The procurement department indicates they will work with selected offerors to iron out any issues related to clearance around the existing fencing.
