About this file

This is Addendum 1 to an Invitation for Bid (IFB-003-27) issued by the Louisville Regional Airport Authority for Solid Deicing and Anti-Icing Chemical. The addendum, dated August 11, 2026, clarifies and modifies the original bid documents for the supply of potassium acetate base solid deicing and anti-icing chemical to serve Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport and Bowman Field Airport. Bids are due on August 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. EST, with public bid opening conducted via Zoom video conference. The successful bidder will provide products for an initial two-year period, with the potential for two additional one-year extensions upon mutual consent of both parties. Delivery will be made to two locations: the Maintenance Administration and Support Services building at 4320 Park Boulevard, Louisville, Kentucky 40209, and the Bowman Field Administration building at 3345 Roger E Schupp Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40205, during typical hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.

The addendum addresses four key questions from potential bidders regarding product specifications and delivery requirements. Bidders must submit both the most recent periodic test report issued under SAE AMS 1431F standards and a current lot certificate of analysis to demonstrate compliance with FAA specifications. The Authority will accept alternate bag weights that differ from the standard 55-pound bag, provided the bidder clearly indicates the actual bag weight on the Bid Form. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum either with their bid response or by separate letter no later than 2:00 p.m. EST on August 19, 2026. Questions regarding the bid documents were required to be submitted by August 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. EST to T'airra Bridgewaters, Director of Purchasing & Procurement, at Tairra.Bridgewaters@flyLouisville.com.
