The project involves installation of a complete SBS-modified bituminous membrane roofing system with polyisocyanurate insulation, glass-mat gypsum cover board, and associated flashings and accessories over existing metal and concrete roof decks. The addendum, dated October 13, 2026, incorporates changes to specification Section 075216 regarding base sheet and flashing sheet materials, adds new drawing sheet A.1, and establishes performance requirements including wind uplift resistance rated at 90 psf load capacity and UL 790 Class B fire rating. The roofing system must be installed in accordance with SPRI's Directory of Roof Assemblies and FM Global Property Loss Prevention Data Sheet 1-29, with manufacturer's field service representatives conducting inspections at designated milestones and upon final completion.

The specification identifies four approved roofing manufacturers: Johns Manville, Soprema, Siplast Inc., and Elevate (formerly Firestone Building Products), with all system components required to be sourced from the membrane manufacturer or an approved alternative. The manufacturer provides a 30-year No Dollar Limit (NDL) Total Systems Warranty from Substantial Completion covering wind speeds up to 72 mph, while the roofing installer must provide a 2-year warranty from Final Completion. Base sheet materials must comply with ASTM D6163 or D6164 specifications with specific elongation and filler content requirements, and cap sheet materials must meet ASTM D6164 Type II Grade G standards with white granule surfacing. The project requires a preinstallation roofing conference with all relevant parties, submission of shop drawings and product data, walkway pad installation at specified locations, and comprehensive field quality control with written inspection reports to be submitted to the Architect.
