About this file
This document is a supporting exhibit containing driving directions and maps for vault toilet locations across 21 recreation sites managed by the White River National Forest in Colorado. The document provides detailed turn-by-turn directions from Interstate 70 and Highway 24 to each vault toilet facility, including specific mileages, road numbers, and landmarks. The recreation sites span multiple areas including Eagle-Holy Cross, Maroon Bells, and surrounding regions. The vaults are distributed across various campgrounds and trailhead locations, with facilities such as Camp Hale Climbing Wall, Shrine Ridge Trailhead, Deep Lake Campground, Missouri/Fancy Trailhead, Tennessee Pass Trailhead, Tigiwon Community House, Yeoman Park Campground, and others. The locations are accessible via Forest Service roads and county roads, with directions tailored to help contractors identify and access each vault toilet site for maintenance and servicing purposes.
The White River National Forest manages a total of 64 1000-gallon vault toilets and 1 500-gallon vault across the 24 recreation sites. All vaults require pumping when they reach 80 percent capacity, with 90 percent of vault content removed during each service. The vaults typically require a minimum of one pumping per year, though some sites require multiple pumpings annually based on usage. This document serves as an essential reference guide for contractors responding to the vault pumping services solicitation, enabling them to locate, access, and plan service schedules for all facilities included in the scope of work.
