Statement of Work Purchase of Stabilized Soil

Part 1: Scope/Background/Objective

0. Scope of Work

The contractor shall source and deliver 75 tons of stabilized soil to Joshua Tree National Park. The delivery location is a stagging yard off Pinto Basin Rd 12 miles from park headquarters 74485 National Park Drive, Twentynine Palms CA, 92277.

1.2 Background

Joshua Tree National Park has a requirement to keep the trail corridors maintained and sustainable to prolong the life of the trail and to ensure select trails that are rated for all abilities are passable. This load of stabilized soil will provide the JOTR trail crew with enough material to create an accessible trail for all abilities. As well as to conduct repairs on selected trails that require additional patch work to maintain their hardened compacted state.

0. Objective

The objective of the contract is to provide Joshua Tree National Park Trail’s staff with 75 tons of stabilized soil, for accessible trail building.

Part 2: Contractor Tasks & Supplies

2. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS. The contractor will provide 75 tons of Staylok brand stabilized soil. And deliver it to the park’s gun range 12 miles south of Joshua Tree National Park’s Headquarters.

Delivery to be coordinated with Joshua Tree National park employee before delivery attempt. Point of contact information will be provided upon award.

Delivery should be made inside of Joshua Tree National Park off Pinto Basin Rd 12 miles south, into park, from 74485 National Park Drive Twentynine Palms CA, 92277.

Part 3: Contract End Items

This contract will be complete when the Trail’s Foreman inspects and approves delivery.
