About this file
The document is a detailed technical specifications file for a box culvert construction project at the Deep Fork National Wildlife Refuge in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. The project involves installing a concrete box culvert, concrete end sections, concrete approach drives, riprap, site grading, and creek diversion work. Key specifications include:
Construction requirements mandate work be completed between July and mid-October to avoid rainy spring conditions and refuge hunting activities. The contractor will be responsible for site preparation, including clearing and grubbing, earthwork, and dewatering as needed. Concrete specifications are stringent, requiring 6000 psi compressive strength at 28 days, 4.5-7.5% air content, and specific reinforcing steel standards. The project involves extensive quality control measures, including independent testing of materials, compaction, and concrete performance, with the contractor responsible for all testing costs and potential remediation of defective work.
