Description of Requirement
Gooseneck Trailer Specifications
Minimum Gross Vehicle Weight Rating: 25,000 lb. minimum
Gross Axle Weight Rating each axle: 12,000 lb. minimum
Deck Length: Minimum 28 ft flat deck with a 5 ft. dovetail
Deck options: Hydraulic power folding full width ramp with diamond plate bottom (increase usable deck length to minimum of 33 feet)
Suspension: Leaf springs
Ramp Actuation: Self-contained hydraulics for ramp actuation
Additional Requirements:
• 2-5/16 in. ball coupler with a gooseneck to kingpin adapter
• Two hydraulic operated jacks (Monster jacks or equivalent) with self-contained hydraulic system
• 16 in. aluminum or steel wheels with 16 ply H load range tires
• Front side steps on both sides
• Heavy-duty oil bath axles with brakes on each wheel – Dexter hubs
• Rubber-infused wood decking, Blackwood Pro or equivalent
• 3 in. rub rail with stake pockets
• Under frame tie down flat on both sides
• Under frame bridging on bottom beam of trailer
• 4 in. ratchets with chain hook ends every 2 ft with slide track
• Bolt on chain rack at front of trailer capable of storing 10 chains
• LED lighting with 7-way RV plug to include reverse lights at rear
• Lockable toolbox between gooseneck risers above deck
• Bolt on light bar located on top of trailer neck facing rear
• Two side-mounted toolboxes, one on each side toward front of trailer
• Primer plus powder coat paint finish
• Solar charger for all trailer batteries
• Safety reflective marker tape
• Trailer must have a spare tire and rim
• Torque tube
Delivery Requirements: Trailer must be delivered to the US Army Engineer Research and Development
Center (ERDC) at 3909 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180 no later than 120 days after award.
