About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity 80NSSC26940969Q regarding a Supermicro Superserver 222C-TN configuration.
The solicitation addresses critical specification clarifications concerning the server's hardware configuration. The original specification required a 24-bay server with two H200 NVL GPUs; however, thermal limitations prevent this configuration. The Government confirmed that a 16-bay server configuration with the two H200 NVL GPUs is acceptable, reducing available drive bays from 24 to 16. Additionally, a discrepancy regarding Kioxia CD8P-R NVMe drives was clarified—the correct quantity is 2x 7.68TB drives as specified in the itemized specification, not 1x as shown in the RAID Configuration summary. The Government mandated that H200 NVL GPUs are required and will not accept alternative GPU options such as L4 or L40S models. If 24 drive bays are required, the Government confirmed acceptance of an 8-bay configuration provided the H200 NVL GPUs are included. The system must be configured with recommended power supplies rather than standard power supplies for this configuration. Regarding delivery, the Government indicated willingness to extend the delivery period to accommodate H200 NVL GPU availability, provided funds are obligated promptly.

Q&A Document
80NSSC26940969Q– Supermicro Superserver 222C-TN
Q: “The specs on this request are not 100% correct. The requested coniguration calls for a 24-bay server with two H200 NVL GPUs. Unfortunately, this coniguration cannot be supported due to thermal limitations.
The two H200 NVL GPUs can, however, be supported in the 16-bay version of this server. The important consideration is that this would reduce the available drive bays from 24 to 16—eight fewer drive bays than originally requested, which I believe is a signiicant enough change that we should not make the assumption that it will meet the end user's requirements.
Please have your partner take this back to the end user and conirm whether the 16-bay coniguration would be acceptable before we proceed.”
A: The 16-bay server/coniguration is acceptable.
Q: I am interested in submitting a quote for Supermicro Superserver 222C-TN- having Notice ID: 80NSSC26940969Q. My supplier has some query please see below and assist:
Thank you for reaching out, and for sharing the detailed speciication for the SuperServer 222C-TN coniguration.
Before we inalize the quote, we'd like to conirm one detail: your document lists the Kioxia CD8P-R 7.68TB NVMe drive quantity differently in two places — the RAID Coniguration summary shows 1x 7.68TB, while the itemized speciication shows 2x 7.68TB. Could you please conirm the correct quantity so we can prepare an accurate quote for the bid?
A: The itemized speciication is the correct quantity – 2 7.68TB NVMe drives.
Q: If 24 bays are required, will the Government accept an L4 or L40S GPU?
A: No. The H200 NVL GPUs are required.
Q: If the H200 NVL is required, will the Government accept 8 drive bays?
A: Yes.
Q: Will the Government accept the standard power supply offered in this coniguration?
A: We would like the system conigured with the recommended power supplies for this coniguration.
Q: Will the Government extend the delivery period to match actual H200 NVL availability?
A: Delivery can be extended as long as the funds are obligated promptly.
