About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the procurement of hygrometer instrumentation for the 10x10 Supersonic Wind Tunnel at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
The objective is to acquire dewpoint temperature measurement equipment critical for accurately correcting test section operating conditions and ensuring data quality at the facility. The contractor must supply four Stephens Analytical MicroView Mini 6000 hygrometers, each with the following specifications: operating range of 5-6000 ppm(V), temperature-controlled silicon chip moisture sensor, automated push purge capability, normally closed system alarm that opens during alarm conditions, 4-20mA linear output, and NIST-traceable calibration certification compliant with CLAS 17025 standards. A critical requirement is that each unit must include a remote push purge feature. Additionally, the contractor shall provide two rack mount back plates measuring 19" x 5.25". Testing is scheduled to commence in 2026, with the equipment serving as the primary dewpoint temperature measurement device for the facility throughout its operational lifetime.

STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements The 10x10 SWT requires the measurement of tunnel dewpoint temperature to accurately correct test section operating conditions for the presence of water vapor.
Measurement of this value is critical to data quality in the facility. The Stephens Analytical MicroView Mini 6000 hygrometers provide a combination of ease-of-use, accuracy, and response time not found elsewhere through searches among common instrumentation makers/vendors.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs The contractor that provides this instrumentation shall supply the following:
Line Item Qty Description
1 4
Microview Mini 6000
- Operating Range: 5-6000 ppm(V)
- Temperature Controlled Silicon Chip Moisture Sensor
- Automated Push Purge
- System Alarm (normally closed, open during alarm conditions)
- 4-20mA linear output
- Calibration including certification traceable to National Standards (NIST), CLAS 17025
