About this file
This document is a service contract specification for a VersaProbe II H system at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC). The Smart Sensing and Electronics System branch is seeking a one-year maintenance contract for a surface analysis system used in developing silicon carbide integrated circuits and sensors. The contract requirements specify that the service must be with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or an authorized representative and include one preventative maintenance visit.
The comprehensive contract covers repair of 64 specific system components at no additional charge, including critical parts such as heater controls, power supplies, vacuum controllers, microscope modules, cameras, lenses, pumps, and various system control assemblies. Additional options include a 95mm sample configuration, hydraulic lifter tool, and an introductory ion gauge. The contract is specifically for maintaining a high-precision scientific instrument used in aerospace research, with an emphasis on ensuring full system functionality through comprehensive parts coverage.
