9) Flange requirements:

a) Top chamber panel: Qty 1, 10” conflat flange, fixed, through-hole Qty 2, 6.75” conflat flanges, fixed, through-hole

b) Rear chamber panel: Qty 1, 13.25” conflat flange, fixed, through-hole

c) Bottom chamber panel: Qty 1, 10” conflat flange, rotatable, through-hole

d) Lower 10” extrusion: Qty 1, 4.5” conflat flange, fixed, through-hole, on tee branch run

10) Door View Port: The door shall include a 5.25” x 5.25” square or 6” diameter minimum viewport window made of fused silica glass. Window shall have a broad-band anti-reflective coating on both sides that limits reflectivity to <1% per surface over visible spectrum (425nm – 700nm), for incident angles of 0 to 10 degrees.

11) Camera mounting feature: The door shall include blind threaded holes on the swing-out door to accommodate mounting of 80/20 extrusion hardware to support camera. Threaded holes shall utilize heli-coil or equivalent insert and shall not compromise the ability of the door to support atmospheric loading when the chamber is at vacuum.

12) External mounting bosses: The chamber shall include 4 external mounting boss features on the top and bottom chamber panels.

13) Internal mounting bosses: The chamber shall include 4 internal mounting boss features on the bottom chamber panel.

14) Maximum chamber width: The width of the chamber as measured from the outside surface of the left most wall to the outside of the right most wall shall be no greater than 17”. Note, the door frame may be larger. This requirement only applies to the cube chamber body.

15) Fabrication approval: The contractor shall provide detailed drawings for approval.

Fabrication shall not start until the contractor receives drawing approval from NASA.

16) Inspections The contractor shall perform a vacuum test with leak check. The vendor shall verify all dimensional requirements as specified in included drawing.
