About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a 300mm optical window to be used in a cryogenic vacuum test chamber. The key requirements are:
The vendor must deliver a 300mm diameter optical window made of Corning fused silica 7980 material. The window must have a thickness of 25mm ±0.25mm and meet specific optical quality and surface finish requirements. The window must have a rolled edge with a radius of 1.5 ±1.0mm. Surface 1 must have an optional anti-reflective coating for 633nm and 780nm wavelengths, while Surface 2 must have an optional low-E coating to maintain high transmission. Surface 1 will operate in air at 280-297 Kelvin, while Surface 2 will be in a high vacuum of ~10^-6 Torr at 95-295 Kelvin.
This SOW is associated with a federal contract opportunity from NASA Shared Services Center to procure the 300mm optical window. The solicitation number is 80NSSC24868970Q. The procurement documents include this SOW and a Request for Quote (RFQ).

Statement of Work for
300mm Optical Window
The vendor must deliver a 300mm diameter optical window for cryogenic vacuum test chamber that meets the following speciications:
Characteristic Requirement
Diameter 300 mm ± 1.5 mm Thickness 25 mm ± 0.25 mm ROC ∞ for S1 & S2 Clear aperture > 90% of diameter Material Corning fused silica 7980 Optical quality Polished window transmitted wavefront error shall be < λ/20
RMS, where λ=633 nm at normal incidence over the clear aperture
Edges All edges shall be rolled and have a radius of 1.5 ± 1.0 mm Surfaces All edge and bevel surfaces shall have fine grind or commercial polish finish
Surface Quality 60-40, per MIL-O-13830 for S1 and S2 S1 Coating R < 0.5%, optimized for 633 nm and 780 nm over the clear aperture (optional)
S2 Coating low-E coating (e.g.) 30 nm Au, window transmission >90% over the clear aperture (optional)
Surface 1 shall be in air and temperature from 280 to 297 Kelvin Surface 2 shall be in high vacuum ~10e-6 Torr with temperature from 95 to 295 Kelvin
