About this file
This Sources Sought Synopsis is a market research document issued by the United States Air Force seeking potential contractors to provide a specialized tensile tester for the Chemical Analysis Laboratory at Robins Air Force Base. The required tensile tester must have specific technical capabilities, including a 30kN frame capacity, table top design, test speed range of .001 - 1016 mm/min, removable load cells and grips, pneumatic and mechanical grips, Windows 12-compatible software, and a video extensometer. Additional requirements include installation, training for up to 5 people, a 3-year extended warranty with comprehensive support services, and delivery within 12-14 weeks of order.
The market research solicits responses from both large and small businesses, with a particular emphasis on small business participation. Potential vendors must submit detailed capability documentation by close of business on May 2, 2025, to Brandi Morris via email. Respondents are requested to provide business information, NAICS code details, ownership status, and a comprehensive description of how their proposed tensile tester meets all government specifications. No set-aside decision has been made, and participation in this market survey does not guarantee future solicitation or contract award opportunities.
