DESCRIPTION:
The Monongahela National Forest (managed by the USDA Forest Service) in West Virginia is advertising a project to replace a bridge for FR 76 Cranberry River – North Fork Bridge crossing. The work shall include, but not limited to, construction survey and staking, clearing and grubbing, excavation, removal of existing structures, installation of replacement bridge on existing abutment, and aggregate in Pocahontas County, WV on the Gauley Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest.
The Contractor will be required to provide all expertise, labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, permits and incidental supplies as required in the Schedule of Items and Specifications of the solicitation necessary to perform the bridge replacement and associated services. Work for this project consists of constructing a temporary road, setting a temporary bridge, removing existing pipe, and installing a new 48” culvert with rock headwalls per specifications.
All deliverables must be in compliance with the terms, specifications, conditions and provisions of this solicitation and are to comply with applicable, Local, State and Federal codes.
GOVERNMENT PRICE ESTIMATE:
The Government’s estimated price range for the total of all work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
LOCATION:
Performance will take place on the Gauley Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest in Pocahontas County, West Virginia at:
Directions to work site from the Gauley Ranger Station: drive East on Route 39 19.9 miles to FR 102 South Fork Cranberry River (Cranberry Glades Botancial Area). Follow FR 102 South Fork Cranberry River past the Cranberry Glades Boardwalk to the gate on FR 102 2.4 miles.
Once thru the gate, the work site is at the intersection of FR 102 and FR 76 near the North Fork Liming Station.
CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS:
Interested parties are advised that registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database is required prior to award of a contract. There is no cost for registration in SAM when registration is completed on the official SAM website (www.sam.gov).
SET ASIDE:
This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. The NAICS code is 237310 – Highway, Street and Bridge Construction; the Small Business size standard is $36.5 million.
SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS:
Solicitation 1234342Q0012 is being issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) and will be awarded as a firm fixed price construction contract. The solicitation and related documents will only be issued electronically via “Contract Opportunities” on the official U.S. government’s website for people who make, receive, and manage federal awards. Packages are expected to be available for downloading on or around June 16, 2020 at beta.SAM.gov’s web address:
