About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation for non-personal behavioral health providers at the Gallup Indian Medical Center. The solicitation seeks one psychiatrist, one psychologist, and one licensed clinical social worker to provide outpatient mental health services at the facility's Behavioral Health Clinic. Services will include diagnostic interviews, medication management for psychiatry, psychotherapy and limited psychological testing for psychology, and diagnostic interviews and psychotherapy for social work. The ratio of adult to child patients is approximately two-thirds to one-third. Children as young as four to five years old may be seen. Initial appointments would be one hour with 30-minute follow-ups for psychiatry, and all appointments would be 60 minutes for psychology and social work. Responses should be submitted to the contact provided and include documentation as specified in the solicitation's evaluation criteria.

Previous edition unusable

Except as provided herein, all terms and conditions of the document referenced in Item 9 A or 10A, as heretofore changed, remains unchanged and in full force and effect .

1) What is the ratio of adult patients vs. child/adolescent patients at the facility? How many of each will be seen by the Locum Tenens Provider on a daily basis?

For psychiatry it would be about 2/3 adult and 1/3 adolescents/children.

For psychology and social work it would be adults. If a provider had a desire to see adolescents/children that could be accommodated.

2) What is the youngest age of children being seen by the Locum Tenens Provider?

4 to 5 years old.

3) What is the typical schedule look like, i.e. is there 60 minutes for consultation and 30 minutes for medication management?

For psychiatry it would be one hour initial appointment with 30 min. follow-up.

For psychology and social work there would be only 60 min appointments.

4) I have scoured through the Documents attached to the above referenced bid and do not see what documents need to accompany the bid in relation to the profiles of the providers presented (Psychologist, Psychiatrist, LCSW).

Please refer to the evaluation criteria in Section E to determine what documents to include with your response.

5) Will mental health services be provided at a specific location?

In the outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic:

For psychiatry: diagnostic interview and medication management.

For psychology: diagnostic interview and psychotherapy follow-up, limited psychological testing.

For social work: diagnostic interview and psychotherapy follow-up.

There is the possibility of doing some ER consultations but we are pretty well staffed in the ER at this time.

6) Will mental health services be for children and adults?

As above. Psychotherapy with children would include play therapy.
