Specification: Weight < 6 kg Weight of detector and Integrated Cooling System, or is it just the weight of the detector?
The Weight of detector and Integrated Cooling System
Specification: < 40 × 40 × 40 cm Question: Weight of detector and Integrated Cooling System, or is it just the weight of the detector?
The dimensions of the detector and Integrated Cooling System
Specification: With External Preamp with Ultra-High-Rate Preamplifier and multi-channel analyzer Specification: Comes with its own the multi-channel analyzer
Questions: Is it expected that detector, preamp, and multi-channel analyzer is to be one module, or can multi-channel analyzer be a separate from the detector and preamp? The system we can provide will have an HPGe detector, connected to our ICS (Integrated Cooling System) with our stand-alone DSPec50 desktop multi-channel analyzer.
It can be separated from the detector and preamp.
Can you please confirm the following performance specs are correct? We would normally expect to see this reversed.
• Energy Resolution. @ 5.9 keV <= 700 eV FWHM
• Energy Resolution. @ 100 keV <= 0.5 keV FWHM
Confirmed.
Does the HPGe system require visual “hot spot” imaging or only spectroscopic analysis? At a minimum the HPGe System requires a spectroscopic analysis system. Hot Spot ? required or not as a minimum salient feature?
At a minimum it requires a spectroscopic analysis system.. Having the hot spot image is an addition.
Count rate >= 5M photons/second Additional clarifications about the radioactive standards used to reach such a count rate would be useful.
Count rate >= 5M photons/second. We are using x-ray sources and radioactive sources in the listed energy range.
Sensitive area >= 1x1 cm2 Further clarifications are required to understand what is meant here as sensitive area. This is inconsistent with the relative efficiency given at 11.
By the term "sensitive area," we are referring to the portion of the detector surface that is capable of detecting and capturing signals or radiation. It represents the region where the detector exhibits sensitivity and responsiveness to the incoming radiation or signals.
Relative Photopeak Efficiency >= 10%
Further clarifications are required this is not consistent with 5. Indeed a 1cm x 1cm square detector area will show a small solid angle towards 1.33MeV photons.
The relative efficiency is normally measured at 1.33MeV (60Co) this is not consistent with the energy range That is fine to be measured at 1.33 MeV as usually it is measured.
12. Energy Resolution. @ 5.9 keV <= 700 eV FWHM Further clarifications are required this is not consistent with 13.
As higher the energy as worser the FWHM Specified to be 5.9 kEV
13. Energy Resolution. @ 100 keV <= 0.5 keV FWHM
The FDA i We are using <=, so please use the criteria listed for 100 keV here instead of the one listed in 12
Peak to Compton >= 40:1 Further clarifications are required.
The Peak to Compton is measured between 1040keV and 1096keV continuum Vs 1332keV peak with a 60Co source. This is not consistent with the energy range at 5
That is fine to be measured in that range because Compton scattering is less significant for lower energy range.
Peak Shape >= 1.9 FW.1M/FWHM
Further clarifications are required.
The Peak Shape is measured at 1332keV with a 60Co source. This is not consistent with the energy range at 5 That is fine to be measured in that way
Peak Shape >= 2.6 FW.02M/FWHM Typical
Further clarifications are required.
The Peak Shape is measured at 1332keV with a 60Co source. This is not consistent with the energy range That is fine to be measured in that way
