About this file

This document is an Overhaul Description for a Hydraulic Pump (Stock Number 4320-01-470-8803, Part Number AA11VLO260LRDS/11RNTD62K07) used on 225' WLB Coast Guard vessels. The document details comprehensive requirements for a complete pump overhaul, including specific inspection, testing, preservation, and packaging standards. Key requirements include thorough disassembly and cleaning, using only new original equipment replacement parts, converting packing glands to mechanical seal assemblies, conducting rotational and hydrostatic tests, and applying a Silicone Alkyd Enamel paint in Machinery Gray.

The overhaul process mandates multiple quality assurance steps, such as generating detailed cost estimates for Coast Guard approval, ensuring all test equipment is calibrated, and providing test certifications. The contractor must preserve the pump for warehouse storage, packaging it individually in a wooden box with specific markings, and guarantee the item against defects for 90 days after installation or up to two years after delivery. The pump is intended for the forward buoy deck Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) on 225' WLB and 240' WLBB Cutters, with the overhaul aimed at returning the pump to a condition equivalent to a new unit.
