Contractors must measure existing hoses IAW list provided remove hoses and any non- essential obstacles such as zip ties, chaffing gear and hose clamps. Hoses and fittings shall be replaced with equivalent or exceed current material quality. Pressure tests, flushing of hoses to prevent contaminating systems must be conducted. Once hoses have been assembled, pressure tested/certified, flushed and installed the contractor will work closely with crew to verify operational functionality of hoses renewed.

3.0 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

The test pressure shall be held for approximately 10 minutes. The hose assembly may be tested to at least twice the design pressure of the system, in accordance with Navel engineering Manual M9000 section 505. Test pressure shall be clearly noted in the hose log.

5.2 Hydrostatic test of hydraulic crane and steering system shall be performed to 4500 psi. Hydrostatic test pressure for lube oil and fuel oil systems shall be performed to 140 psi. Hydrostatic test pressure for red gear system shall be performed to 650 psi.

6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE

6.1. All work shall be inspected/verified by EPO engineering petty officer Roberto Dilan.

7.0 SITE VISIT

7.1. All bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site to conduct measurements and totality of work before submitting bids. Interested parties shall make arrangements for a site visit with MK1 Roberto Dilan @ (787)729-2348 or EM1 Jose Garcia @ (787)729-2356
