1.1 Introduction This statement of work describes tasks to be accomplished in the resultant purchase order (To be determined at time of award).
1.2 Background Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) is a civil platform-based surveillance service that broadcasts a platform’s position, velocity, identification, and other pertinent information. The Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) has mandated a nationwide transition to ADS-B technology by January 1, 2020 as a part of the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) architecture. The
MH-65E must meet the minimum functionality required by Title 14 Code of Federal
Regulations (CFR) Part 91.225 which requires ADS-B Out capable aircraft to transmit own-ship information.
1.3 Objective The objective of this effort is to verify that the MH-65E Embedded
Global Positioning System (GPS)/Inertial Navigation System (INS) (EGI) is compliant with ADS-B Out System Design Assurance (SDA) requirements as set forth in Title 14
Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91.227.
1.4 Scope This task is for the delivery of MH-65E EGI Product Service History and the requirements described herein.
1.5 Schedule The Contractor shall provide the Government a schedule detailing the delivery of contract deliverables in accordance with Contract Data Requirements List
(CDRL), Item A001 (Attachment 1).
