Solicitation Number: 70B03C19Q00000296 Description: Supply and Installation of One Electric Wire-Guided Turret Truck

1. Q: Can you provide the serial number or a photo of the unit ID tag of the existing truck that must be disassembled?

A: The following is a photo of the existing truck:

2. Q: Does the furnished turret truck have to meet any of the following specifications?

1. Single-point watering system, water level indicator light, and watering gun & hose with the battery.

2. Beverage holder

3. Operator clipboard holder

4. Sidegate power cut-out switches when the side gates are raised

5. Fire extinguisher

6. Lift-limit switch, set on-site, with over-ride button

7. Travel lights, front and rear

8. Power hook-up (10-amp) with mounting bracket for Government provided computer hardware items.

9. Manuals: operator/ parts/ maintenance books.

3. Q: How do you suggest that we deliver the truck inside the vault if the size of the mast crate will not fit within the 60” W x 88” H modified doorway?

A: There is access through a large garage door to an open secure area where the contractor will be able to stage the crates, uncrate, and then move the components through the vault door into the vault. It will be necessary for the contractor to uncrate the items prior to going through the vault door.

4. Q: Please confirm (a) the dimensions: ____” wide (across the forks) x ____” long (fork direction) x 48” high, and (b) weights of the loads that this unit will handle.

A: The Statement of Work has been amended to change the load width to “40-inch maximum.” See Amendment #A0001. There is no requirement for load length in the direction of the forks.

5. Q: What is the working aisle width?

A: See Section 4.1 of the Statement of Work. It states:

“It shall be able to accommodate the following capacities:

Aisle Width: 72-inch maximum (i.e., must be able to operate in 72-inch wide aisles)”

6. Q: What are the hours of operation of the facility?

A: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

7. Q: Can the vault door be removed to allow for inside delivery of the truck?

A: Yes, the vault door may be removed if necessary. The contractor shall notify the government if removal of the door will be necessary for delivery. If it is necessary, the government will be responsible for removing the door. See Amendment #A0001.

8. Q: Does the electrical charge box have to be located where the forklift is normally parked? Does it have to be located anywhere in particular?

A: There is no requirement for the placement of the charge box, but it is preferred that it be placed where the forklift is parked.

9. Q: What is the maximum weight capacity that is required?

A: 3,000 lbs. See Section 4.1 of the Statement of Work.

10. Q: Would a forklift that is not an electric wire-guided swing-reach turret truck be acceptable?

A: No.
