Oily waste water will be mostly water with a small quantity of oils mixed in.

• Profile hazardous waste as required.

• Preparation of hazardous waste manifests for SBRF’s review and signature. After manifests are signed by all parties, bring original up to the Administrative Office so a copy can be made from the top sheet. Generator copies of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests are typically hard to read or reproduce.
• Provide all accompanying documentation, such Land Disposal Restriction Forms, etc.
• Provide appropriate Department of Transportation (DOT) labeling for hazardous material, hazardous waste, universal waste, or recycling for identified waste streams.
• Check drums and other shipping containers for proper packaging and labels.
• Transport hazardous waste, universal waste or recycling materials to recycling or disposal facilities.
• Forward documentation received as a result of the disposal actions to the Contracting
Officer’s Representative (COR).
The contractor performing services must have the proper permits/licenses/certificates which include the following:
• General Engineering Contractors Class A License
• Hazardous Substance Removal Certificate issued by the California Contractors State
License Board

Motor Carrier Permit issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles

Transportation and disposal costs are to be included together in the unit pricing. The number of drums per pick-up will vary due to on-site accumulation and storage regulations. Contractor will be notified of the exact number of drums to be picked up via email or phone call from the COR when the waste is ready for pick-up.
Replacement drums will be required. The number of replacement drums required may not be the same number of drums picked up per load. The COR will advise the contractor on the number of replacement drums required when arranging for waste pick up.
Used oil may be transferred from the storage drum on-site to the transporter’s conveyance, such as a vacuum truck. Transfer is to be accomplished by the contractor.
