Questions Answers
1 Can we send the final bid schedule proposal in electronically? In the past, we have been able to send bonds, and other hard copy items via Fed Ex and send the final bid schedule electronically on the bid date.
Modifications to the bid schedule may be submitted electronically via email, faxed or mailed in - see page A-iii.
2 The specs call for a biologist to clear the work area daily. This would prove costly as you would have to pay someone drive time and work time everyday at a premium rate. Can the biologist train the superintendent or foreman to conduct the daily clearances prior to starting work?
No. Submit bids in accordance with what is stated in the SCR’s. As per
Subsection 108.01(g) the biologist must have a biology degree and 1 year minimum experience with construction monitoring for measures similar to those proposed for the project.
3 Pages E19-E20 of the special provisions do not clarify if there is a full-time or part-time QCM required on the project. Please advise if we are required to provide a full time QCM for this project?
A full-time, on-site QCM is required.
4 Would you please reconsider not making the qualification for the
QCM more restrictive and allow the QCM assigned to the project the ability to meet the qualification outline in section 153.02 of
FP-14?
No, the contractor most provide a QCM that meets or exceeds the qualifications as specified in the solicitation.
5 We just saw this solicitation, is there any chance that you may extend this solicitation by an additional 7 calendar days?
No extensions to the bid opening date are anticipated at this time.
