Questions and Answers

1. Question: Would you be able to provide me with the budget or cost estimate for the above listed project? Also is the Pre-Bid Meeting on November 17th at 9:00am, mandatory?

Answer: The budget is between $50,000 and $100,000. The site visit is not mandatory.

2. Question: Requesting clarification on the Section B – Schedule. Is this part of the scope, or is this in addition to the scope of work?

Answer: Thank you for pointing out the error. I am working with CO to get an amendment published. Please reference the actual SOW for now.

3. Question: Please provide the spec/model for the ceiling grid and tile.

Answer: Install new 2’x2’, ceiling tiles in the whole facility

4. Question: Will grounding of the basket tray be required?

Answer:

- Per FAA-STD-19F change 3 Cable tray: Bond each metal segment with minimum #6 AWG green. 2) Bond both ends to multi ground plate with #2 AWG green conductors (or EES)

- Paint shall be removed from the bonding surfaces before making grounding connections to the equipment enclosure. The bonding surfaces do not require paint sealing treatment if the connection is made inside an environmentally controlled room

5. Question: What are the dimensions of the basket trays?

Answer: Dimensions are stated in SOW diagrams in varied colors.

6. Question: There were drawings provided at the site visit showing different sizes. If these sizes and locations are correct, can they be distributed?

Answer: No further drawings were provided. Drawings in SOW are what everyone was offered.

7. Question: What areas will require night or after-hours work?

Answer: Area marked on print as TRACON will be only after hour (night) work.

8. Question: What hours will be allowed to be worked in these areas?

Answer: 8PM-5AM, preferably, plan for a Monday night

9. Question: Please confirm existing HVAC and sprinkler will not need any modifications.

Answer: No modifications required or allowed.

10. Question: What color does the cable tray need to be?

Answer: The color of Metal. There is not a color preference.

11. Question: Please clarify if all (3) drawings that are attached with the SOW will have all existing ceilings removed and new Acoustical Ceilings installed.

Answer: Drawing (3) shows both front and back half of building with all 2x2 tiles in the ceiling. Areas that are blank and open are non-ceiling areas that do not require new tiles.
