WORK JACKETS
SOLICITATION QUESTION AND ANSWERS
1. We happened to notice this RFQ that includes the requirement that the Inner liner be be a nylon quilted to
“80-gram thinsulate insulation”. My company, 3M, is the maker of 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation, and we make several products that are considered 80 gram. Do you know which product family was being specified?
Was it Type G80 or Type J80, or perhaps even another one? Also, it wasn’t mentioned in the Solicitation, but does the insulation need to be Berry Amendment compliant?
Answer: There is no preference between type G80 or Type J80. The jacket have insulation (to distinguish it from a thin parka that provides protection from water, but does not provide warmth).
2. Do you have a picture of work jackets?
Answer: Since this is a new requirement, there currently is no picture available
3. Is there a brand name used in the past?
Answer: This is a brand new requirement
