About this file
This document is a Third Renewal and Second Amendment to an existing Freeway Service Patrol Program Agreement between the State of Ohio, specifically the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), and Autobase Inc., a company located in Amityville, New York. The original agreement was dated October 10, 2019, and this amendment extends and modifies the terms of that contract.
The amendment renews the agreement for an additional two-year term, effective from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. The key financial terms include updated hourly rates for Freeway Service Patrol Vehicles and VMS-Equipped Tow Trucks. For the first year (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026), ODOT will pay $67.06 per hour for a VMS-Equipped Freeway Service Patrol Vehicle and $73.72 per hour for a VMS-Equipped Tow Truck. In the second year (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027), these rates increase to $68.40 and $75.19 per hour, respectively. The contract covers standard operations, special events, and emergency events. Performance is contingent on funding appropriations by the Ohio General Assembly, with provisions for termination if funding ceases.
