About this file

This is an amendment document issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) related to a pest control services purchase order for Bradshaw Unit. The amendment modifies the existing contract terms and conditions for the provision of pest control services at the facility. The document establishes the framework for pest control service delivery, including the scope of work, service requirements, and operational standards that the contractor must maintain throughout the contract period. The amendment addresses modifications to the original contract agreement, detailing changes to service specifications, scheduling, or other contractual provisions necessary to ensure continued pest management operations at the Bradshaw Unit facility.

The amendment document outlines revised pricing structures, service delivery modifications, and updated contract terms that supersede or supplement the original purchase order agreement. The document serves to clarify contractor obligations, establish performance standards, and ensure compliance with TDCJ requirements for pest control services. Any changes to contract duration, renewal options, or financial terms are incorporated through this amendment to maintain current operational standards and align with the department's pest management needs at the Bradshaw Unit location.

Question

No.

Question

Answer

1 1. The pricing schedule includes twelve

(12) monthly interior pest control services and two (2) biannual exterior pest control services. Please confirm whether exterior perimeter treatment is required only under Line Item 3 (Biannual Exterior Pest Control Services), or whether exterior perimeter treatment is also expected to be performed as part of the monthly interior pest control service visits.

The exterior treatment for line 3 can be performed either the same date as the regular monthly interior service or separately, depending on technician and unit staff availability when scheduling.

2 2. Please clarify the scope of the biannual exterior pest control services. Are vendors expected to treat only the building perimeters, or does the exterior service include grounds, fence lines, recreation yards, loading areas, dumpster areas, and other exterior structures?

For the exterior service, this will only be covering treatment of the Tractor Shed and Tool Shed as seen in the specifications. Exterior only means buildings on TDCJ property not within the perimeter fence. We've chosen to specify which buildings for exterior we want treated to avoid confusion or breaks in contract and services.

3 3. The pricing schedule includes four (4) emergency pest control service calls annually. Is TDCJ requesting vendors to include these emergency calls in their proposed pricing regardless of actual usage, or will emergency services only be ordered and invoiced if requested by the facility?

Emergency services will only be ordered and invoiced as requested by the facility.

4 4. For areas identified in the Statement of Work as requiring treatment every 90 days, may vendors rotate treatment by servicing approximately one-third (1/3) of those areas each month, as described in the Statement of Work, or is full facility treatment expected during each monthly service visit?

Unit Risk management has a schedule so that each treatment rotates through areas each month.
