About this file
This document is an Important Bid Addendum issued by the NC Department of Adult Correction's Purchasing & Logistics division for a solicitation (Bid Number 52-IFB-1670922120-WZM) seeking canned or jarred apples. The bid is scheduled to open on August 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with an initial delivery expected within a month of award. The solicitation specifically requires canned fruit cocktail that meets USDA standards, containing five specific fruits: diced peaches, diced pears, whole grapes, diced pineapple, and halved cherries, with a minimum remaining shelf life of six months upon delivery.
The addendum provides detailed vendor responses, including pricing context from previous bids where vendors like Atlantic Beverage Company LLC, Robbins Sales Co., and WM R Hill & Co. submitted case prices ranging from $44.75 to $46.57. The most recent cost for fruit cocktail was $46.90 per case for the Port Royal Premium brand. The document also clarifies the state's approach to tariffs, indicating that only permanent tariffs should be included in bid pricing, with temporary tariff surcharges to be separately documented and potentially added as a line item during invoicing.
