STATEMENT OF WORK

FENCE LINE CLEARING OF TREES, BUSHES

AND UNDERGROWTH/BRUSH

Triadelphia, WV 26059 Furnish all the necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to trim, cut and remove all trees, brush, vegetation and undergrowth that impedes or restricts a twenty (20) foot vertical plane from the fence line surrounding the property.

All work shall be performed safely, to the complete satisfaction of the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) and in accordance with all municipal, county, state, federal, and other local laws, ordinances, regulations, and standard principles applicable to said work.

The final trimming and clearing shall provide a minimum of ten (10) feet wide of unobstructed space on both sides of the fence line. The vertical clearance at any point shall be a minimum of twenty (20) feet high. All tree trimming shall be done in accordance with current ANSI 300 standards with regards to current and future tree health and symmetry. All dangerous overhanging limbs shall be removed and made safe as to not fall on the fence.

All trees cut and removed in the ten (10) foot areas shall be cut flush to the ground. All logs piled and wood chips produced as part of the clearing project shall be spread in a predetermined area. All brush shall be chipped and spread out (no mounds) in the designated areas.

All trees, bushes, undergrowth and shrubs that are ten (10) feet inside and outside the fence line are to be cut and debris be chipped and/or removed.

All trees (standing and fallen), dead limbs and shrubs within ten (10) feet of either side of the fence line shall be removed and chipped. All overhanging limbs, fallen and dead trees and other debris shall be removed and disposed of.

All brush, shrubs, tree stumps, wood cut and removed shall be ground into chips and spread at the designated location as directed by the COTR. No wood piles or brush piles are to be left on site. Burning of wood and brush piles is not allowed.

All trees, bushes, undergrowth and brush need removed ten (10) feet on either side of the fence line so that there is a twenty (20) foot vertical and horizontal clearance.

Prior to final acceptance and completion, the Contractor shall examine all work areas to ensure that all fence lines have a twenty (20) foot vertical clearance of all trees, bushes, undergrowth and brush and address any areas that do not comply.

During all phases of the project, contract employees will abide by any and all OSHA regulations that apply to the type of work being performed. All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supplied by the Contractor where upon enforcement of it’s use also falls under the responsibilities of the Contractor. Any and all contract employees not using their PPE will be asked to leave the property.

Any real or personal property damage incurred during the performance of this project will be remedied to the satisfaction of the onsite COTR.

All contract employees will be required to wear the Visitors Badge they are issued when signing in and will NOT be permitted inside any government building. For this reason the Contractor is responsible for portable toilets.
