Text version

The National Institutes of Health intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the STERIS

Corporation.

The National Eye Institute’s Gravity sterilizer is a complex instrument whose operating system’s maintenance and replacement parts can only be provided by the manufacturer, STERIS.

Problems that arise in the equipment need to be addressed by an expert engineer from the company who is totally versed in the system. This assures the equipment users that if problems occur, the repairs will be done very promptly and the instrument will continue to operate according to specifications.

Please see the attached Statement of Work for further information.
