About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a request for information for batteries and manuals for CAREFUSION BD 8015 pumps for the Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 22. Specifically, the request clarifies that a manual is only needed for the batteries being provided, not for the pumps, and that a battery with a 16-month warranty would meet the requirements even though the solicitation listed a preference for a 24-month warranty. The related federal contract opportunity is for solicitation number 36C26224Q0230 for 6530 BD 8015 batteries for the CAREFUSION system to be provided to the Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 22.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION QUESTIONS
1. I have questions regarding the General Required Items line 2.3 and 2.4.
2.3) Do you need a manual for just the battery or are you requiring them to be delivered with the manual for the BD 8015 pump? Should each battery come with a manual or do you just need 1 manual for the entire shipment?
Answer: Manual for just the battery is fine. Just one for the entire shipment will work.
2.4) At this time I have been unable to find a battery with a 24 month warranty. Most, including the Panasonic batteries are only warranted for 12 months, however I was able to find a battery that meets all of your other requirements and comes with a 16 months manufacturer's warranty. Will this satisfy your need?
Answer: Yes, that will work.
