DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM OR INFORMATION BEING REQUESTED

Please be specific as possible:

1. Will Contractor be required to set-up containments?

2. Will clearances be required? If clearances are required, who is responsible –

Contractor or VA?

3. Will the VA allow Contractor to use VA’s mobile mini containments for individual tiles?

4. Will there be differential in pricing or an ability for an add-on for tiles that are caulked into the grid?

5. Will Contractor have to re-caulk previously caulked ceiling tiles if replaced?

6. Will Contractor be required to caulk any new ceiling tiles when installed?

7. Will the VA remove the contents in offices prior to setting containment?

8. Will the VA be handling the waste; regardless as to if it is hazardous or non-hazardous?

9. Are tiles considered friable ACM or non-hazardous if cleaned?

PROJECT MANAGER’S RESPONSE

1. Yes, Contractor be required to set-up containments.

2. Yes, VA will be responsible for clearances.

3. Yes, VA will allow awarded Contractor to use mobile mini containment.

4. No, there will be no differential in pricing or ability for an add-ons.

5. No, re-caulking of previously caulked ceiling tiles is not required.

6. No, caulking of new ceiling tiles is not required.

7. No, Contractor will be required to move furniture.

8. Yes, VA be handling the waste regardless of hazardous or non-hazardous.

9. All tiles in Building 1 are considered ACM and must be disposed of in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
