The Recuperative Care Program (RCP) is designated to provide quality emergency housing and services to the most vulnerable and at-risk Veterans; those who are homeless with serious mental illness and/or medical issues. Services will be furnished to Veteran beneficiaries for whom such care is specifically authorized by the VA, and may be discharging from the VA Medical Center or other non-VA medical centers after a period of acute inpatient care.
