About this file

This document contains questions and answers to a solicitation for Arjo patient lifts from the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 19. The solicitation requires the installation of 53 Arjo patient lifts within a 150 calendar day period of performance. Questions must be submitted by September 16, 2021 and quotes must be submitted by September 17, 2021. The Buy American Act clause was included in error and will be removed in an amendment, as the Arjo products are Trade Agreements Act compliant but not BAA compliant. Clarification was also provided that the plan for installation completion within 90 days of the notice to proceed is for the cassettes only and based on delivery times, and that room availability for both new construction and motor swap projects will be coordinated with the contractor.

1. Under Schedule, 4.3 Provide plan for install completion within 90 days of notice to proceed; Is that included in the 150 days or in addition to the 150 days making the total POP 240 Calendar Days? This is just for the cassettes so it will be based off when they can be delivered.

2. Can you confirm that the total Period of Performance is 150 Calendar Days for both projects?

The 150 Calendar days is for the project requiring 53 installed.

3. Will there be a schedule ready for room availability for the new construction as well as for the motor swap project? That will dictate the timeframe of the project. The VA will work with the contractor to ensure room availability for project to proceed.

4. The BAA Clause is included in this solicitation. The Arjo products are not BAA compliant. They are TAA compliant. Can this be revised? Yes, BAA clause will be removed in an amendment.

5. Under Technical, 3.3 Tracks are recessed into ceiling; Is this accurate? This was not part of the original request. This is not correct and will be removed as a part of the amendment to the solicitation.
