ADDENDA #1 January 26, 2024

RFQ 36C25524Q0120

Sharps Medical Waste Disposal Services for the ST. Louis VA Medical Centers

Question #1-Are you looking for 537 containers for John Cochran and 299 for Jefferson Barracks now which 400 and 100 would be exchanged for new ones monthly?

Answer: 537 containers is the quantity on-site for John Cochran (mounted or in cages) and 299 containers at Jefferson Barracks. The estimated average quantity outgoing is roughly 400 containers for JC and 100 containers for JB. Incoming is typically matched, but there is a cart creation at the contractor’s facility. So, we may end up with more 17-gal (example) one week that was necessary, but it evens itself out as the month goes by.

Question #2- Can you confirm the delivery schedule for this solicitation?

Answer: Every Tuesday at John Cochran and every four weeks on Thursday at Jefferson Barracks.

Question #3- Is the waste pick up weekly on Tuesdays at the John Cochran division and monthly on the third Thursday of the month at the Jefferson Barracks Division.

Answer: Yes. Delivery and pickup on same day. Due to months having five weeks, this sometimes doesn’t fall on the third Thursday at Jefferson Barracks. It is every four weeks on a Thursday Question #4- How much medical waste is picked up monthly?

Answer: As seen in question 1, the estimated average quantity outgoing is roughly 400 containers for JC and 100 containers for JB.

Question #5- How often do you need to pick up?

Answer: As it stands now, the schedule above (question 2) is meeting the need for pick up.
