CO’s Response: NAICS 621399 Office of all Other Miscellaneous Health Practitioners Size Standard $8M that has been selected will remain the same and unchanged. The procurement is for CRNA’s to perform services within a Government Facility for approximately up to five years in duration using FAR Clause 52.217-9, Option to Extend Services. This is not a requirement where services shall be temporarily provided, with temporary meaning of short duration. Based on historical data, and current contract inplace, services have been exercised for all four Option Periods. Reference VA255-14-A-0062.

At this time, KC VAMC is only requiring submitting one candidate IAW Price Schedule pg. 6. “Contractor shall propose a minimum of one (1) key personnel to be credentialed and be available for scheduling to meet the requirements of the contract in your quote submission”. Once a Contract is awarded, there is no limit on how many CRNAs the Contractor would like to be considered. It is determined by the Chief of Surgery whether a CRNA meets the minimum standards and is accepted to proceed with the onboarding process.
DEA- Will CRNAs need a DEA registration? As it is rare for CRNAs, we are inquiring so we follow expectations.
CO’s Response: PWS Para 2.1.18 states that the Contractor holder shall provide copy of current DEA certificate. CRNAs are not required to be DEA registered, however if a candidate has the Certificate, then 2.1.18 is applicable.

2.7 Under para 2.7 No Employee status is standard verbiage and shall not be removed. Once a contract is awarded, then at that time shall the Contractor provide or certify that the following 2.7.1 through 2.7.5 are applicable to that agency.
I'm reviewing the solicitation for CRNA services and wanted to check in with you to see if there is an opportunity for a site visit prior to the September 10 due date. Our company is planning to bid on this and I'd like to visit if possible. Thank you.
CO’s Response: Thank you for your email requesting a site visit for CRNA services for Kansas City VAMC. If that is something that you and your company would like to pursue I wouldn’t see it being a problem. I would recommend reviewing the Solicitation to see if you even qualify to submit a Quote. I wouldn’t want a contractor to waste their time and funds if an agency doesn’t meet the minimum requirements. All contractors shall have the same opportunity for a site Visit if one deems necessary.
If you still would like to coordinate a site visit, please let me know as soon as possible. In order to prepare for the visit, what would your agency like to see at the Medical Center in order for the agency to have a better understanding of the requirements being asked that is outlined within the PWS?
