March 2010 MA- Boiler Burner Mount Replacement 66048 36C25518Q0216 03-16-2018 N 332410 Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 3450 S 4th Street Trafficway Leavenworth KS 66048 The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15 Contracting Office intends to release a commercial solicitation for a Replacement Boiler Burner Mount for the Marion, IL VAMC. The NAICS code is 332410 with a size standard of 750 employees. The solicitation number is 36C25518Q0216. All other contract details including full specifications will be included in the Request for Quotes, which will be released on or about February 2, 2018. The close date will be on or about February 8, 2018.

Statement of Work Marion VAMC Objective The Marion VAMC is requesting a new burner refractory mount on the existing #1 boiler (SUPERIOR- MOHAWK BOILER | Model 4‐5‐1506 | Built 1988 | Serial #: 10639) at the Marion VAMC, Building 14 located at 2401 West Main St. in Marion, Illinois.
This solicitation uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. All offers must work with existing equipment that has already been purchased and is currently in use at the station.
General The contractor shall provide all the labor, oversight, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, consumables, insurance and expertise to perform the work that is identified below:
All work shall be performed in accordance with this SOW; all local, state, federal, international codes, and VA requirements.
1. Remove the existing burner refractory mount from #1 boiler.
2. Provide and install the burner refractory mount into the boiler using the appropriate gaskets and refractory packing. Ensure that all processes for burner refractory attachment and curing are in accordance with the Industrial Combustion burner specifications.
3. Realign and reconnect the existing burner (Industrial Combustion Burner| Model DLG-63S| Serial# 40210-1).
4. Combustion tuning of #1 boiler on both natural gas and fuel oil. Ensure flame pattern is normal and stable.
5. Provide a printout of combustion tuning results both ascending and descending over the firing range, from zero to 100% in 1ncrements of 10%.
6. Remove all debris from the work processes.
The contractor shall complete the work required under this Scope of Work (SOW) within 14 days of the notice to proceed.
Identification, Parking, Smoking, and VA Regulations
1. Contractor’s personnel shall wear visible identification at all times while on the premises of the VA. Identification shall include, as a minimum, the employee’s name, position, and the contractor’s trade name.
2. It is the responsibility of the contractor to park in the appropriate designated parking areas.
Information on parking is available from VA Police Service. VA will not invalidate or make reimbursement for parking violations of the contractor under any conditions.
3. Possession of weapons is prohibited. Enclosed containers, including tool kits, shall be subject to search. Violations of VA regulations may result in citation answerable in the United States (Federal) District Court, not local district, state, or municipal court.
4. Smoking is prohibited inside all VA buildings.
5. Facility security requirements. Upon arrival at the VA Medical Center all contractor personnel are required to report to the VA Medical Center Police for a temporary ID and check in. This check‐in process is mandatory. When the service is completed all contractor personnel are required to check out with VA Medical Center Police.
