About this file

This special notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs provides intent to negotiate a limited source contract with Intelligent Hearing Systems Corporation. The contract is for an Intelligent Hearing System Duet AEP and OAE system to be used in the Madison VA Medical Center's Audiology Department to test and measure hearing loss. The equipment will integrate with the facility's existing audiology equipment. Pursuing another brand would duplicate costs to replace compatible equipment already in place. The original equipment manufacturer lacks an authorized distributor for this specific product. Responses to the notice by the February 20, 2024 deadline will inform the agency's decision about pursuing a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334510 for electromedical and electrotherapeutic apparatus manufacturing.
