PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE
Project No. 537-18-301A: Legionella Sampling Stations at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, IL. This Pre-Solicitation Notice is NOT a request for submittals of any kind. The information provided is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a request for proposal. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Businesses (SDVOSBs). The Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, components, labor and supervision to provide Legionella Sampling and Biocide Injection Stations on the hot and cold water systems for Buildings: 1, 11, and 40. All services related to the Statement of Work (SOW) shall meet local, state, federal, VA, ADA, NFPA, life safety codes and directives. Work is to be completed within 162 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed.
This Pre-Solicitation Notice replaces Pre-Solicitation Number 36C25219B0020, posted to fbo.gov on November 30, 2018.
In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation, which will be posted on fbo.gov, will include all drawings, plans and specifications related to this requirement and be issued on/about February 14, 2019 with proposals due on/about March 18, 2019 IAW 36.213-2. The offeror is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be a pre-proposal site visit held for this project and all prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-proposal site visit will be included in the solicitation package.
The project magnitude range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors); size standard $15 million applies.
In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), at the time of submission of offers/quotes, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is a (1) SDVOSB eligible under VAAR Subpart 819.70; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) SDVOSB listed as verified in VIP database at: https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov.
In order to receive a contract, you shall be registered and current in SAM.gov. If you are not registered with System for Award Management (SAM) you may register online at https://www.sam.gov/ .
