FREDERICK WEDDINGTON

CONTRACTING OFFICER

1. Pg 16, Section 9 Training, will the VA provide the training or is this at the expense of the contractor?

· VA will provide the training required under 9. Training

2. Pg 52, Section E.8, Please confirm which page is paragraph (b) located?

· Section E.8 begins on page 52, please see page 56 “(b)(1) Annual Representations and Certifications” which is located in Section E.8.

3. Pg 18, coverage for Cleveland, is the VA requiring the guard to stay on duty from 8am to 4:30pm and patrol the facility every (2) hours or Is the VA requesting the guard only shows up for duty only two hours a day, Mon-Fri ?

· The facility is only requiring two (2) hours total for the entire week. Vendor can feel free to break down those ours as they deem necessary.

4. Pg 20, Section a Supervisor, the VA is requesting a supervisor (Guard II), to visit the site. We recommend the VA require a Supervisor on site to patrol between each CBOC/HCC every day and be the main on site supervisor for the COR. The supervisor can schedule, reprimand, train all guards assigned to the site. This Supervisor, if required, should be a billable item and included within the price schedule hours, covering Mon-Fri, 6am to 7pm or however the VA sees appropriate.

· We only require occasional contact with a supervisor, ultimately the daily duties will be directed by VA Police.

5. Pg 26, section 15 Security Training, We request that the VA provide some of this training to reduce cost and man hours, particularly with VA specific training (i.e. Contract Rules of Behavior, Information Systems

· The VA will not cover any training cost. Per the solicitation in the “Required Documentation” section; paragraph (a) of the Technical Capabilities states:

“Contractor shall have relevant (same type and scope of work as the work described in Section 3 of the Statement of Work) and recent (within past 4 years) experience providing the services required of the Statement of Work. 6. Calculated 11,702 hours instead of 10,176. This was based off of the following:

New total contract yearly hours breakdown below:

· Appleton: 26 billed hours per week day x 5 = 130 x 50 weeks (accounting for 10 holidays) = 6500 weekday hours per year, 52 Saturdays per year x 5.5 hours = 260 Saturday hours per year, resulting in a total of 6760 hours for Appleton per year

· Green Bay: 12 billed hours per day x 5 = 60 x 50 weeks (accounting for 10 holidays) = 3000 weekday hours per year, 52 Saturdays per year x 5.5 hours = 260 Saturday hours per year, resulting in a total of 3260 hours per year for Green Bay

· Cleveland: 2 billed hours per week X 52 weeks = 104 hours per year

NEWAC annual billable hours: Appleton 6,760 Green Bay 3,260 Cleveland 104
