About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Department of Veterans Affairs for Guldmann Ceiling Lifts to be installed at the Auburn VA Outpatient Clinic in Auburn, WA. The VA seeks to procure ceiling lift systems for three specific areas: Procedure Room, Radiology, and Physical and Occupational Therapy, with detailed specifications for each room including GH3+ ceiling lifts with 770-pound safe working load (SWL), integrated scales, and hanger bars. The RFI requires potential sources to provide company information, a statement of capability demonstrating service provision ability, place of manufacture, and BAA/TAA certification by July 25, 2025, at 1200 CST.

The ceiling lift systems are designed for heavy lifting with weight capacities ranging from 385-1,100 lbs, offering safe and ergonomic patient transfers with modular design capabilities. The procurement includes multiple line items: room covering systems with specific lift models (GH3+), slings, and structural engineer drawings. The lifts will be installed by Guldmann technicians at no additional cost after structural modifications, with HTM (Healthcare Technology Management) responsible for inspection and performance monitoring. The solicitation emphasizes risk control by reducing patient movement risks and includes a disclaimer that this RFI is for information gathering and does not constitute a binding contract.
