Interested parties who can provide this exact equipment as an authorized distributor or have the same unique features may submit a capability statement by December 14th at 4:30PM EST to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov. Special Notice

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Louisville, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Nikon for A1RHD-MP system. This system is the only one to meet the VA’s requirements due to several unique features exclusive to Nikon’s multiphoton system. These features include compatibility with Louisville’s existing high-end imaging equipment, a large field of view, high-resolution resonant scanner for intravital imaging, complex multiphoton laser auto-alignment, and the inclusion of ultra-high resolution upright objectives (e.g., 25X with a numerical aperture of 1.1). This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source who can provide this exact equipment as an authorized distributor or has the exact unique features described above may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than December14th, 4:30PM, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
