VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES SOLICITATION 36C24818Q0566

No. Question Answer 3 Is this a Davis Bacon project? No. This procurement is for supplies VFD and installation included in the price of the VFD.

4 Is there a list of all 47 VFD’s? Yes. See attached.

5 Is there night time installation allowed? No, day time. Pumps will be shut down to allow for day time installation.

6 Is there a preferred sequence to install the drives? No.

7 Will the VFD’s be loaded and stored somewhere? Yes. VFD’s will be loaded at the warehouse and most likely will be stored in Building 32.

8 Can one person do the job? Some VFD’s require lifting of equipment and may require 2 people to install while one lifts it.

9 Can you send the location for the 47 VFDs? Yes. See attached.

10 Can all drives be done during normal working hours? Do we need to bid Overtime?

All drives can be done during normal working hours. No overtime necessary.

11 Do we need to fill out work permits for each drive?

No.

12 Who will disconnect and reconnect JCI controls? Contractor.

13 Who will disconnect and reconnect Fire Alarm? Contractor.

14 Will the VA have an electrician shut off power to the Drive? And turn it back on?

Yes.

15 If the line and load wire are too short for the new drives, will you accept splices in the drive or do we need to figure in a J- box?

No Splices in the VFD. A J-Box will be preferred.

16 If a splice is needed, will you accept Polaris lugs? Yes.

17 What do you want to do with the old drives? Do we leave old drives in the room where they were removed?

Old drives must be removed and discarded by contractor. Do not leave old drives in the work area.

18 Do we calculate the removal of the VFD’s into the installation of the new VFD’s?

Yes.
