ANSWERS TO RFIs

· What is the make and model of the current patient lifts? Posted in amendment 1

· Do they have warranty agreements? if so could you provide the terms? No lifts are currently under warranty.

· Could this contract be solicited as a simplified acquisition not to exceed specific pricing? This solicitation is for a Firm Fixed Price contract. Any emergency repairs will be outside of the scope of this contract and will be solicited separately.

· Is there and incumbent or is this a newly sources sought effort? if so, could you divulge their pricing an award amount? This would assist in meeting a lower yet efficient bid. The previous contract was solicited under solicitation number VA248-13-R-0056. The award notice was posted on 3/29/2013. Awardee was Vets Access Ramps LLC. and the award amount was $380,363.76 for a Base + 4 contract.

· Are there any security or training requirements necessary? No.

· Is the use of subcontractors warranted? As a set-aside for SDVOSBs any subcontractor would have to have the same status. The decision to use a subcontractor is up to the quoter, however, the conditions of VAAR 852.219-10 are applicable.

· Outside of the price schedule, would you like further cost break downs to be submitted? If so, is there a required format for the submission?” No, each line item should represent the quote for the annual cost.
