VHACHATabatR Text Box Notes applicable to replace VAV box project 534-19-107:

1. Remove existing VAV terminal unit (3 places) and all associated hangers, supports, controls and hot water piping. Cap hot water piping temporarily for connection to the new VAV boxes. Provide all required ductwork transitions and modifications to accommodate installation of the new VAV boxes.

2. Balance all air distribution devices associated with the three new VAV boxes(total 8 supply diffusers and 6 return registers) for the air flow rates indicated on the drawing. Balance hot water heating coils for the GPM indicated on the new VAV box schedule on this drawing.

3. New wall mounted DDC thermostats controlling new VAV boxes shall be installed in rooms D117, D123 and D128 where indicated by the COR.

4. Above ceiling spaces within areas of this project's work are very congested. Some existing equipment, electrical, piping, ductwork, etc. may interfere with the removal of the existing VAV boxes and/or installation of the new VAV boxes. Contractor is encouraged to visit the site and examine the work area thoroughly and include such required alterations in his bid.

5. Contractor shall submit equipment shop drawings for VAV boxes and DDC controls within ten calendar days after the project notice to proceed.

6. Contractor shall submit project schedule within ten calendar days after the project notice to proceed.

7. Contractor shall examine and verify existing conditions prior to ordering equipment.

8. VAV heating coil piping installation shall be as indicated on design standard SD238216-01, water coils-piping standard.

1.Unit shall be UL listed, ARI-880 certified.
2.Double wall insulation.
3.Factory mounted, wired and tested damper actuator.
4.Factory mounted and wired DDC controls with HW reheat.
5.Factory mounted and wired power control transformer
6.Factory mounted disconnect switch.
7.Access door for HW coil.
8.Control contractor to provide control valve.
9.Multi point averaging differential flow sensor.

10. Rigid straight VAV box inlet duct length shall be min. 3 times the inlet.
