Question Answer

1 What shift will this work be performed? Daylight shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

How many hours do we have during each shift? 8

3 Will an IR scan need to be performed? No IR scan needed

To test the molded circuit brakers via primary injection, power is needed for our test set. Do we need to supply our own generator for our test set or does the VA have access to power while we are there?

Should supply own generator, VA will assist with power when possible and practical

Is the VA requesting primary injection testing for all the LV circuit breakers?

No secondary trip units are listed on any of the breakers so are we to assume that primary will be performed? Not sure of what is being asked

Is it requested to make the recommended trip settings on some of the breakers. Can this be done at the same time we are testing or do you want to have the settings done prior? If so, that would require a second trip.

Settings can be changed during testing, but trip testing needs to incorporate new settings

How do we handle items that we come across that are not listed on the inventory? Do we test them and provide a change order or does the VA want a quote first? Will require a quote first

Are we only doing PM on the equipment in the Mainteance+Inventory+2020.pdf items or are we to including all of the equipment on the single lines as well? Only what is inventoried

Can we get the KVA of each pad mounted transformer? Will be discussed after award

Can we get the KVA on each dry type transformer? Will be discussed after award

Places where it indicates MCCB: Is it possible to get the make and model as well as the trip unit type these breakers have? Will be discussed after award

Are you able to provide the trip unit styles of the Square D breakers you have? Will be discussed after award

Are you able to provide the expected dates and times that the outages for this work will be taking place?

Dates and times will need to be scheduled with the VA during daylight hours (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) with one Saturday during the same hours for IT related equipment

Is NETA Testing mandatory testing our are we allowed to make different testing suggestions where it is felt that it may be more beneficial to provide different testing.

Testing requirements according to BETA, other testing must be discussed as per case

Are the settings that are provided the ones that we need to make during the PM? Yes

What time will equipment be able to be de-energized? See Question #2

How long is this equipment permited to be de-energized at one time?

All equipment will need to be re-energized at the end ofs the day. Patient care areas need to be re-energized as quickly as possible.

Who is the certifying license agency for Pennsylvania?

Each state has different ways to get a license.
