Text version

Q 1. Once the railings are at the job site can the demolition and installation be done simultaneously?

A 1. Yes

Q 2. Are these railings painted or mill finish?

A 2. The handrails are not to be painted but have a smooth polished finish.

Q 3. Regarding the handrails identified on the drawings as “Area 4”, in order to install new handrails, the stairs will need to be repaired as there is structural damage to them.

Are the repairs to the stairs included within the scope and therefore priced with the replacement of the handrails? Or are we not to include the price to repair the stairs in the bid?

A 3. The repairs to the steps should be included with the price to replace the handrails.

Q 4. Once the notice to proceed is given can all the railings be sent to the job site at one time?

A 4 Yes. During the pre-construction meeting a laydown area will be set up.
